Breakfast at the hotel. Shortly after breakfast you will depart for your included dog sledding excursion. Meet the dogs and your guide, learn how to drive your sled and then head off for a thrilling dog sledding adventure through the arctic nature. You will stop for a break in the wilderness and take photos. After the sled ride, there will be time to mingle with the dogs! The duration of the dog sledding is approximately 45 minutes (6-10 kilometers, depending on the snow conditions). Up to two adults and two children per sled. If you prefer to have a professional musher drive the sled for you, please let us know during the booking process (recommended when travelling with small children).

In the evening you have the option of joining one of the Northern Lights tours. Accommodation in a cottage at Santa Claus Holiday Village.

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we recommend exploring the Santa Claus Village. Take a stroll on the magical little paths and village roads and end up on the central square surrounded by boutiques filled with Finnish design and handicrafts, Santa’s Chocolate and Candy Shop Arctic Circle and restaurants and cafés offering arctic delicacies. We also recommend a visit to the Snowman World Winter Zone, which is a unique snow and ice world. It offers fun activities for kids and the young at heart. Slide down daring hills, try ice skating, tobogganing and take part in other fun activities together with the snowman characters. Afterwards you can enjoy a drink in an ice glass at the magical Ice bar or a meal at the Snow restaurant with beautiful ice and snow sculptures.

In the afternoon (or evening) you will travel to a reindeer farm. Meet the reindeer and head out into the snowy forest in a sleigh pulled by reindeer. Enjoy the nature around you and listen to the sounds of the reindeer caravan. The reindeer herder will prepare coffee with a cinnamon bun on the campfire and here the herder will tell you about their way of life hand in hand with nature in Finnish Lapland. Two persons per reindeer sleigh unless otherwise advised at the farm. Please let us know at the time of booking if you prefer the evening Northern Lights reindeer safari instead of the afternoon safari. Accommodation in a cottage at Santa Claus Holiday Village.

  Breakfast at the hotel. It is time to say goodbye to this magical place and Santa Claus. Departure from Rovaniemi is according to your own itinerary. Or extend your tour by adding an overnight train to Helsinki, or travel a bit further north by bus to Inari or Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Saariselkä. You can also book a stay in one of the innovative glass igloos in the surrounding area of Rovaniemi.
