Day 01 Oslo, the capital of Norway

Day 02 Dovre- and Rauma Railway to ร…ndalsnes

      Breakfast at the hotel before taking the Dovre Railway in northern direction through Gudbrandsdalen Valley to Dombรฅs.

      From Dombรฅs your journey will continue on the spectacular Rauma Railway along the Rauma River all the way to ร…ndalsnes. The railway is 114 km long and offers amazing scenic views. One of the highlights of the tour is the Kylling Bridge, the most famous and most-photographed stone railway bridge in Norway. Before reaching ร…ndalsnes you will see the Troll Wall on your left-hand side.

      The small town of ร…ndalsnes is known as the alpine village by the fjord. It is located at the mouth of the river Rauma in Romsdalsfjorden andย surrounded by high mountains and sharp peaks of up to 1,800 meters.

      In ร…ndalsnes we recommend taking the Gondola lift up to Mount Nesaksla, 708 metres above sea level. From here you can hike to Rampestreken viewpoint which offers a dramatic view of the town and its breathtaking surroundings. Accommodation in ร…ndalsnes.

Day 03 Bus via Troll Road to Geiranger - Cruise on the Geirangerfjord to ร…lesund

    Breakfast at the hotel before departing by bus to Geiranger.ย The journey goes up the Troll Road, one of Norwayโ€™s best-known tourist attractions. The road has 11 hairpin turns and its highest point is 858 meters above sea level, making it a dramatic and unique sight.

    *Due to a landslide in 2024, extensive work is being carried out to secure the Troll Road. The preliminary opening date for the Troll Road is July 16, 2025. Until the road opens you will travel by bus from ร…ndalsnes via Sjรธholt to Geiranger.

    After a short ferry crossing the bus will bring you down the Eagle Road to the fjord village of Geiranger. Here you will have a couple of hours at leisure before continuing by boat to ร…lesund.

    Or why not add an extra night in Geiranger? Go kayaking or hiking, visit the hotel spa or even rent an electric bike or car for some additional sightseeing. We also recommend a visit to the Norwegian Fjord Centre, where you can learn more about how people used to live along the steep edges of the fjords.

    At 14:30 hrs you will embark on a 3-hour cruise to ร…lesund. You will sail along the Geirangerfjord, included on UNESCOโ€™s list of world heritage sites, while taking in its waterfalls and mountain farms situated high up on the mountainsides; in places you will be amazed that people and livestock could survive.     This day is at your own leisure to explore ร…lesund. The city was completely destroyed by a devastating town fire in 1904, and rebuilt again in the Art Nouveau style, making it a truly unique town in Europe. At the Art Nouveau Centre (Jugendstilsenteret) you can learn more about this style and view authentic interiors and objects.

    The town centre offers a lively urban scene with charming restaurants and cafรฉs and the picturesque Brosundet canal with its fishing boats.ย The beauty of the town can be appreciated from Mount Aksla, with a breathtaking view of the town and its surrounding mountains, islands and fjords.ย Accommodation in ร…lesund.

    After midnight you will embark on a coastal cruise along the western Norwegian coast southward to Bergen.

Day 06 Cruise along the Norwegian coast to Bergen

      Breakfast on board the ship as you sail along the western coast of Norway. You will pass by islands and skerries before the ship arrives in Bergen.

      Bergen is Norwayโ€™s second-largest city and the worldโ€™s only city surrounded by seven mountains and seven fjords. Sights of interests include the Hanseatic harbour Bryggen, Flรธibanen funicular, Troldhaugen, the fish market, Bergen Aquarium and Gamle Bergen (Old Bergen Open Air Museum). Accommodation in Bergen.

This day at your own leisure in Bergen. We highly recommend taking the funicular up to Mount Flรธyen to experience the spectacular view of the city and its surrounding fjords and mountains. Here you will also find plenty of accessible hiking trails, as well as Bergen's best playground for those travelling with children.
