    Breakfast at the hotel before taking the Dovre Railway in northern direction through Gudbrandsdalen Valley to Dombås.

    From Dombås your journey will continue on the spectacular Rauma Railway along the Rauma River all the way to Åndalsnes. The railway is 114 km long and offers amazing scenic views. One of the highlights of the tour is the Kylling Bridge, the most famous and most-photographed stone railway bridge in Norway. Before reaching Åndalsnes you will see the Troll Wall on your left-hand side.

    The small town of Åndalsnes is known as the alpine village by the fjord. It is located at the mouth of the river Rauma in Romsdalsfjorden and surrounded by high mountains and sharp peaks of up to 1,800 meters.

    In Åndalsnes we recommend taking the Gondola lift up to Mount Nesaksla, 708 metres above sea level. From here you can hike to Rampestreken viewpoint which offers a dramatic view of the town and its breathtaking surroundings. Accommodation in Åndalsnes.

  Breakfast at the hotel before departing by bus to Geiranger. The journey goes up the Troll Road, one of Norway’s best-known tourist attractions. The road has 11 hairpin turns and its highest point is 858 meters above sea level, making it a dramatic and unique sight.

  *Due to a landslide in 2024, extensive work is being carried out to secure the Troll Road. The preliminary opening date for the Troll Road is July 16, 2025. Until the road opens you will travel by bus from Åndalsnes via Sjøholt to Geiranger.

  After a short ferry crossing the bus will bring you down the Eagle Road to the fjord village of Geiranger. Here you will have a couple of hours at leisure before continuing by boat to Ålesund.

  Or why not add an extra night in Geiranger? Go kayaking or hiking, visit the hotel spa or even rent an electric bike or car for some additional sightseeing. We also recommend a visit to the Norwegian Fjord Centre, where you can learn more about how people used to live along the steep edges of the fjords.

You will sail along the Geirangerfjord, included on UNESCO’s list of world heritage sites, while taking in its waterfalls and mountain farms situated high up on the mountainsides; in places you will be amazed that people and livestock could survive.
